Wessex Archaeology is seeking to appoint a Research Assistant to work exclusively on the Landscapes of War Project. The post will involve the conversion of information relating to 20th century military remains in England contained in ‘grey’ literature and publications held at the National Monuments Record Centre, Swindon, into records that will form part of the National Monuments Record.

We are seeking to expand our established and successful team of geophysicists, with increased emphasis on terrestrial geophysics.
You will be responsible for the acquisition, processing and interpretation of terrestrial geophysical data for commercial archaeological projects throughout the UK. You will be familiar with the operation of terrestrial geophysical equipment and software (Geoplot and ArchaeoSurveyor), and ideally you will have an appropriate post-graduate qualification. Experience with AutoCAD and ArcGIS would be an advantage, though training can be given.

We are seeking to appoint an Assistant to our busy Finance Section.
You must have previously worked in an accounts environment, have experience of purchase and nominal ledgers and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel; although previous experience of computerised accounting is desirable it is not essential as training will be given.
You will also be jointly responsible for the day-to-day supervision of a junior member of the team. Starting salary is dependent on the skills, experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.

Our Specialist Services department are looking to strengthen their team and are seeking to appoint an Archaeological Graphics Officer/Illustrator.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate finds illustrations skills, have a basic working knowledge of AutoCAD, plus at least one graphics package such as Adobe Illustrator or preferably the Corel Draw suite of software. Some experience of GIS would be useful but not essential as training will be given.
